FESTIVAL PROGRAMME MARE DE DÉU DE LORETO. XÀBIA 2025

FROM MONDAY 18TH TO TUESDAY 26TH AUGUST
  • 8 pm. Novena in honour of the Mare de Déu de Loreto in the church of Aduanas (separate programme).
TUESDAY 19TH AUGUST
  • From 09:45 am to 1:30 pm. and from 5 pm to 8:30 pm. XIII Dionís Henarejos Blood Donation Marathon in Severo Ochoa Street.
SUNDAY 24 AUGUST
  • 8:30 am. 1st Multi-brand Car Rally Mare de Déu de Loreto on Avenida Augusta in front of La Mar Secondary School. Trophies will be awarded for Best Classic, Best Racing and Best Competition Car. Registrations can be made until 18 August by calling 633 79 15 18. There will be a lunch service with sandwiches and drinks until 1:30 pm.
TUESDAY 26TH AUGUST
  • 8 pm. Mass in suffrage for the deceased of the Parish and solemn veneration of the Mare de Déu de Loreto. The Festival Committee will make a floral tribute to the Patron Saint in memory of its deceased members.
WEDNESDAY 27TH AUGUST
  • 10 pm. Sensational MUSICAL by the Fiestas Committee in which great artists and groups from the 70s, 80s and 90s will return to perform their greatest hits in Avenida Lepanto. There will be a bar service with snacks.
THURSDAY 28th AUGUST
    7 pm. Prize-giving ceremony of the XXXII Children's Drawing Competition Dionís Henarejos Crespo in Avenida Lepanto. Afterwards, children's show for the whole family Menuda Festa. The Festivities Committee will be handing out ice-creams for all the children. 10 pm. NIGHT OF HUMOUR in Avenida Lepanto. The theatre group of the Festivities CommissionMare de Déu de Loreto, TOT RIST, will perform the funny sainete Qui de fadrí no la corre... by the great Valencian playwright Paco Barchino. The play was first performed in 1918 at the Saló Novetats in Valencia and is now being revived by the fiestas committee. There will be a bar service with snacks.

Today, the residents of Aduanas will finish decorating their streets and balconies. The XÀBIA PORT traders' association and the FESTIVITIES COMMITTEE encourage everyone to embellish the town centre and take part in the VII CONCURSO DE ENGALANADOS. In the category of Decorated Streets, 200 euros in cash will be awarded to the first prize and 100 euros to the second prize. In the category of Decorated Balconies, 100 euros for the first prize and 50 euros for the second prize. The latter two can be spent in any of the shops associated with XÀBIA PORT. The rules can be found in the Llibre de Festes 2025 and on the social networks of the Xàbia Port and Xàbia Port Festivities Commission.

FRIDAY 29TH AUGUST
  • 6 pm. XVIII Children's Fishing Demonstration Peña La U.C.A. in Xàbia Port. Registrations (up to 12 years old) will take place from 5 pm h. Each participant must bring their own rod.
  • 10:30 pm. PRESENTATION OF THE FIESTAS 2025. Presentation of the Mayorales and Mayoralesas as the main protagonists of the 2025 fiestas in Avenida Lepanto. Afterwards, performance by the orchestra LA FIESTA until 05:00 h.
SATURDAY 30 AUGUST. CHILDREN'S DAY
  • 9:30 am. Children's wake-up call from Avenida Jaime I, featuring the little ones on their big day of the Fiestas. All children who wish to participate must bring their own instrument to make noise. The Festivities Commission will provide an instrument for those who do not have one.
  • 10 am. Chocolate prepared and distributed by the neighbours of Doctor Fleming Street in Paseo Jaime I.

    • We will continue with popular games in Triana Street organised by the Festivities Commission with the collaboration of the neighbours of Triana. Afterwards, traditional merengada in Avenida Jaime I organised by the Fiestas Commission and water party with the collaboration of Excavaciones Mayte.

  • 11 pm. Great Children's Playground in Jaime I Avenue with aquajocs adapted to different ages and foam party.
  • 1 pm. Fun running of the bulls with inflatable bulls and carretones in Triana Street for the youngest bullfighters and bullfighters by ESPECTACLES L'AFICIÓ.
  • 2 pm. Paella, soft drinks and ice cream for all children offered by Celda S.L. and Supermercados SUMA in Severo Ochoa Street.
  • 5 pm h. XLIII Peña La Bufa Cycling Trophy. (Separate programme)
  • 7:30 pm. Great parade of floats with the participation of boys, girls, representatives of the local fiestas, the Festivities Commission, Mayoralesas and Mayorales 2025 and the amusing critique of the Peñas Marineras. The parade will start from the Lonja de Pescadores, continue along the Plaza Presidente Adolfo Suárez, Santísimo Cristo del Mar, Lepanto, Jaime I and Plaza A. Suárez to the fish market.
  • 11:30 pm. Performance by the TITANIC orchestra on the promenade Pintor Joaquín Sorolla until 04:00 h.
SUNDAY 31 AUGUST
  • 10 am. XLII Peña La Bufa Popular Race. Registration will take place beforehand at Cala Blanca, the starting point of the race.
  • 10 am. XXXIII Chess Championship Mare de Déu de Loreto(XXXVI Open Vila de Xàbia) in the Festera marquee in Severo Ochoa street. In collaboration with the Xàbia Chess Club.
  • 10:30 am. Palma XàBIA A versus XàBIA B match in Virgen de Loreto street. In collaboration with Xàbia Valencian Pelota Club.
  • 12 pm. BOUS A LA MAR (Bulls in the harbour area with the possibility of falling into the water) with the livestock LA HERMANDAD and inauguration of the world famous BARET DELS BOUS.
  • 3 pm. III Tardeo Penyeta Roja on the Paseo Pintor Joaquín Sorolla with bar service and German sausage tasting. From 4 pm., disco with the best music by Toni Bup, La Gavi, Álvaro Díaz and Juan Hernández until 8 pm.
  • 7 pm. BOUS A LA MAR (Bulls in the port area with the possibility of falling into the water) with the BENAVENT bull-breeders.
  • 11:30 pm. BOUS AL CARRER (Bulls in the port area without the possibility of falling into the water). Special night with the EL CALI bull-breeders showing five cows, a bull on points and a bull in a box.
MONDAY 1ST SEPTEMBER. DAY OF THE SEAFARING PEñAS
  • 10 am. Popular lunch for all the Peñas Marineras.
  • 11:30 am. Parade of the Peñas to the Bullfighting Grounds to join us in a new session of Bous a la Mar (Bulls in the port area with the possibility of falling into the water) and the Baret dels Bous.
  • 12 pm. BOUS A LA MAR (Bulls in the port area with the possibility of falling into the water) with the BENAVENT bull-breeders.
  • 3 pm. Brotherhood Lunch of the Peñas Marineras with charanga and disco.
  • 6 pm. Carretones al Mar de ESPECTACLES L'AFICIÓ in the port area for the youngest bullfighters. Parents are kindly requested to cooperate in order to keep a close eye on their children if they intend to dive into the sea.
  • 7 pm. BOUS A LA MAR (Bulls in the port area with the possibility of falling into the water) with the EL CALI bull-breeders.
  • 8 pm. MÚSICA DE TERRA I MAR. Concert of La Rondalla by Grup Portitxol de Xàbia in Paseo Jaime I.
  • 11:30 pm. BOUS AL CARRER (Bulls in the port area without the possibility of falling into the water) in the port area. Special evening with the best animals from the ELS COVES stud farm, which will perform an exhibition of five cows, a bull on points and a bull in a box.
TUESDAY 2ND SEPTEMBER
  • 10 am. Popular lunch for all the Peñas offered by the Peña Les Marineres.
  • 12 pm. Parade of the Peñas Marineras through the streets of Aduanas del Mar.
  • 12 pm. BOUS A LA MAR (Bulls in the port area with the possibility of falling into the water) with the ELS COVES bull-breeders.
  • 4 pm. Bingo organised by the Peñas Antes Muertas que Sencillas and Les Doblaes in Calle Sevilla. Until 8 pm.
  • 6:30 pm. Large format wooden games for all children in Severo Ochoa Street.
  • 7 pm. BOUS A LA MAR (Bulls in the port area with the possibility of falling into the water) with the bull-breeders LA HERMANDAD.
  • 11:30 pm. BOUS AL CARRER (Bulls in the port area without the possibility of falling into the water). First big night of the VII EDU MONFORT GASENT CHALLENGE. The stud farms LA PALOMA and CRISTIAN SOLER will face each other with three cows and one bull each.
WEDNESDAY 3RD SEPTEMBER
  • 10 am. Children's parade along Triana Street with dulzaina and tabal and distribution of juices and sweets for all the children offered by the neighbours of the street and the Penyeta Roja.
  • 10:30 am. Transhumance for children with tame calves in Triana Street.
  • 12 pm. BOUS A LA MAR (Bulls in the port area with the possibility of falling into the water) with the EL CALI livestock farm.
  • 6:30 pm. Performance by the great magician Kaxinoxeve in the Festera marquee in Severo Ochoa Street.
  • 7 pm. BOUS A LA MAR (Bulls in the port area with the possibility of falling into the water) with the bull-breeders LA PALOMA.
  • 11:30 pm. BOUS AL CARRER (Bulls in the port area without the possibility of falling into the water) in the port area. Second big night of the VII EDU MONFORT GASENT CHALLENGE. The stud farms LA HERMANDAD and BENAVENT will face each other with three cows and one bull each. At the end, the prizes will be awarded to the best stud farms of this seventh edition.
THURSDAY 4TH SEPTEMBER
  • 10 am. XIII Gran Cagada organised by the Peña La Bufa in the Bullfighting Ring with a popular lunch for all those attending. The prize for the winner will be awarded during the afternoon bullfighting session in the Baret dels Bous.
  • 12 pm. BOUS A LA MAR (Bulls in the harbour area with the possibility of falling into the water) with the bull-breeders LA PALOMA.
  • 4 pm. Peña L'Estirà evening with DJ Esteve Bas in Paseo Jaime I until 8 pm.
  • 7 pm. BOUS A LA MAR (Bulls in the port area with the possibility of falling into the water) with the ELS COVES bull-breeders. Then, the grand finale of the bullfighting performances and closing of the mythical BARET DE BOUS A LA MAR (Bulls in the port area with the possibility of falling into the water) for the end of the season.
  • 11 pm. Disco-mobile with the best party of the Peñas Els Golossos and Les Doblaes in the Paseo Pintor Joaquín Sorolla until 3:00 am.
FRIDAY 5th SEPTEMBER
  • 10 am. Popular lunch for all the Peñas Marineras and the Fiestas Commission courtesy of the Peña La U.C.A

  • 10:30 am. Traditional visit of the Mayorales 2025 and the Festivities Commission to the Santa María de Betania Day Centre.
  • 11 pm. In commemoration of its 30th anniversary, La U.C.A. invites us to take part in some of its most emblematic games such as l'estirà de corda (stretching the rope), the carretón embolado or the Xupirun to the rhythm of Xaranga 442. In Manuel Bordes Valls street.
  • 3 pm. Popular barbecue between the Peñas Marineras and the Fiestas Commission in the style of those great barbecues organised by La U.C.A.
  • 4 pm. Tardeo Peña La U.C.A. Remember the mythical parties organised by La Peña? In Manuel Bordes Valls street, we will relive their Mexican party and their great karaoke with which we have had such a good time. End of party at 8 pm.
  • 5 pm h. Chess Simultaneous games with the participation of the international master Daniel García Román in Severo Ochoa street
  • . 7 pm. DE LA MAR AL CEL. Performance by the Muixeranga (traditional Valencian music band) of the Marina Alta in Paseo Jaime I.
  • 8 pm. III DANSÀ VORA MAR. Dancers will dance in Triana Street to the rhythm of the waves, the tabal and the dulzaina with the Portitxol Dance Group
  • . 10 pm. Brotherhood Dinner with many surprises on the Paseo Joaquín Sorolla. The Festivities Commission will invite you to an aperitif, drink and dessert. During the celebration, the XàBIA PORT association of traders and restaurateurs will present the prizes to the winners of the VII Concurso de Engalanados 2025. Afterwards, there will be a performance by the GLOP ESPONJA orchestra and a disco until 3:00 am.
    • SATURDAY 6TH SEPTEMBER. DAY OF OUR ELDERS
    • 9:30 am. XXV Ping Pong Open Mare de Déu de Loreto with the collaboration of Club Tennis Taula Xàbia. Registrations can be made on the same day at the Palau Municipal d'Esports.
    • 10:30 am. In the Peña La Bufa clubhouse, brisca competition for the over 50s.
    • 10:30 am. Traditional visit by the Mayorales 2025 and the Fiestas Commission to the Hermanos Cholbi Asilo Hospital. Parade through the Old Town handing out coca maria and mistela. A bouquet of flowers will be offered to the Patron Saint in her niche in Loreto Street.
    • 11 pm. XXXIII Championship of Raspall between Peñas Marineras in Virgen de Loreto Street. In collaboration with Club Pilota Xàbia.
    • 12 pm. Hail Mary and recitation of the Angelus to our Patron Saint in the Parish Church. The Fiestas Commission invites all our elderly people to participate and make their own floral offering to Mare de Déu de Loreto.
    • 12:30 pm. The Peña La Bufa will invite our elders to an aperitif.
    • 1 pm. General ringing of bells announcing the approach of the great days of our Patron Saints.
    • 5 pm h. Extraordinary Raspall match in Virgen de Loreto street in which PAU from Pedreguer, JOAN from Xàbia and TOMACA from Xàbia will compete against SERGIO from Xàbia, CANELLA from Xàbia and JOANBER from Pedreguer. In collaboration with the Xàbia Valencian Pelota Club.
    • 6 pm. The peña La Bufa will visit the Asilo Hospital Hermanos Cholbi.
    • 7:30 pm. OFFERING OF FLOWERS TO MARE DE DéU DE LORETO. The Fiestas Commission invites all residents of Xàbia, Peñas, local festivities and associations to take part in this very special event.
    • 11 pm. NIGHT OF RONDA (traditional songs) TO THE MAYORALES AND MAYORALESAS starting from the Parroquia del Mar. At the end, the Mayorales of 2025 and the Festivities Commission will offer a wine of honour in Severo Ochoa Street.
    • 12 am. Pachango Show! With Raúl Albi and Sergio Pérez at the Paseo Joaquín Sorolla until 05:00 am.
    SUNDAY 7 SEPTEMBER. DAY OF THE SAINT CRISTO DEL MAR
    • 9: am. Participative reveille. Tabaleters and dolçainers, professional or amateur and of any level; you are all called to awaken Aduanas del Mar! Meeting point at Avenida Jaime I. Registration through Colla Xirimitab's de Xàbia.
    • 09:00 h. General ringing of bells to mark the celebration of the day in honour of the Blessed Sacrament Cristo del Mar.
    • 11 pm. Parade of the Festivities Committee to accompany the Mayorales and Mayoralesas to the parish church. During the procession, offerings will be made to our Patrons in their respective niches.
    • 12 pm. Celebration of the Eucharist in honour of the Blessed Sacrament Cristo del Mar. The mass will be sung by the Parish Choir. Afterwards, Festa de Carrer in the street Cristo del Mar organised by the Peñas Liatrix and Penyeta Roja.
    • 2 pm. TRONÁ in honour of the Santísimo Cristo del Mar in Paseo Jaime I.
    • 8 pm. PROCESIÓN DEL SANTíSIMO CRISTO DEL MAR through the streets of Aduanas.
    • 11 pm. Discomóvil Peña La U.C.A. in Doctor Fleming street until 05:00 h.
    • 12 am. ALBÀ DE LA MARE DE DéU DE LORETO. Firework display illuminating the sky of Aduanas at the beginning of the big day of our Patron Saint. Followed by the spectacle EL FOC DE LA MAR. Correfoc by XARXA TEATRE. The unmistakable aesthetics of the artist Joan Miró will immerse us in our Mediterranean roots around fire, the sea and music. It will start in Avenida Lepanto and will run along the streets Virgen de Loreto, Toni Llidó and Doctor Fleming until it reaches Avenida Jaime I.
    MONDAY 8TH SEPTEMBER. DAY OF THE MARE DE DÉU DE LORETO
    • 8:00 am. Awakening through the streets of Aduanas by the Festivities Committee and the Barcà del Pailebot.
    • 9:00 am. General ringing of bells announcing the Patron Saint's big day.
    • 11 pm. Parade to collect the Mayoralesas and go to the parish church.
    • 12 pm. Celebration of the solemn EUCHARIST in honour of our Patron Saint Mare de Déu de Loreto with the attendance of municipal authorities, the Fishermen's Guild, Mayorales and Mayoralesas 2025, the Fiestas Commission, representatives of the local fiestas and the people of Xàbia. The mass will be sung by the Parish Choir. At the end, parade and deafening mascletà in Jaime I Avenue.
    • 7 pm. Parade of the Festivities Commission to pick up the Mayorales and Mayoralesas 2025.
    • 8 pm. Solemn PROCESSION OF THE MARE DE DéU DE LORETO through the streets of Aduanas del Mar.
    • 10:30 pm. Dance with the orchestra LA PATO in the Paseo de Aduanas del Mar. Pintor Joaquín Sorolla.
    • 12:30 am. Sensational AQUATIC FIREWORKS CASTLE with which we will close the festivities 2025 in honour of the Mare de Déu de Loreto. At the end, continuation of the orchestra until 3:00 am.
    NOTES
    • All the events in the fiestas programme are organised by the Fiestas Commission and the Town Council of Xàbia in collaboration with the Penyes Marineres, sports clubs and local entities.
    • The Fiestas Commission reserves the right to change this programme of fiestas and the itineraries of the events if necessary.
    • The mistreatment of animals during the Bous a la Mar events (bulls in the port area with the possibility of falling into the water) is strictly forbidden, as well as the presence of minors under 16 years of age and people in a state of drunkenness in the area where the heifers are released. To ensure compliance with these regulations, there will be a security guard made up of members of the Festivities Commission and the organisers.
    • At the Brotherhood Supper, everyone will bring their own food and the Festivities Commission will provide the aperitif, drink and dessert.
    • All floral work will be provided by the Peña Liatrix.
